If you have ever had cold sores, tell us before booking. Ask your clinician whether preventive antiviral treatment is appropriate and follow their prescribed timing and dose. Contact us to reschedule if you have an active cold sore.
10 DAYS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
✗ No alcohol
✗ No chemical peels or laser near the lip area
✗ No retinol creams around the mouth
48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
✗ No lip fillers or Botox near the mouth
24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
✗ No aspirin or blood thinners (unless prescribed by doctor)
DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT
✗ No coffee 2 hours before
✓ Moisturize lips well before coming in — no dry or cracked lips!
✓ Come with clean skin and no lip makeup
✓ Eat a full meal before your appointment
